Trevor Rabin scores Get Smart

Recently, composer Trevor Rabin was at the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Brothers recording his score to the new comedy feature film version of the 1960s television series "Get Smart". Directed by Peter Segal (Tommy Boy), the film focuses on CONTROL's inept Agent 86 - Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) and Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway), as they battle the forces of KAOS, and its key operative Siegfried (Terence Stamp).

The score to the film was conducted and orchestrated by Gordon Goodwin, and features Irving Szathmary's classic main title theme from the original television series.

In the control room, Rabin listened along with score producer Paul Linford, while scoring mixer Steve Kempster balanced the large orchestra with the electronic elements and pre-recorded guitars and percussion.

Get Smart will be released by Warner Brothers on June 20, 2008.
